Ode to Coffee

~  The milk of the machine breast  spills heavy on the lips.  Coffee named this ambrosial best.  ~  Oh how it drips,  from ‘tween her legs,  framed by glass pot hips.  ~  If there was a single lovely dreg,  I would trade a dozen coin  to taste this water of nutmeg.  ~  Oh cappuccino, you are quite a liquid dreamed.  N’er before have my eyes so animus gleamed.  ~

Creative Writing II am as dust to God's vastness on this street. Here toil the titans, great things, much greater then me. With but a fowl footstep, or a misplaced brush of the hand, they would crush me- But I am still drawn here, to the land of the Titans. Drawn, by the cord of Fate, to witness the ascended. I sit, and I watch, and I am awed. Can't remember for the life of me why I come here.  It's the summer of 1932, I am sitting on the street I call "Gaint". My eyes are too fuzzy now for me to read the name, and I'm afraid I can't recall it, so you’ll have to settle for “Gaint.”. The air is sticky here and hot like a piece of freshly baked pie. TowerCome my friend, let's you and I  Sit upon an icy tower settled in the sky.  We'll toll frozen bells of milk and honey,  play games and gamble with poetry as the money.   
Come my friend, let's you and I,  Sit upon an icy tower settled in the sky.  We'll inveigh against one another faries,  cajoleing them into fervor with confection daries.  The little faye with golden eyes, shall dance and sing  Battleing with voices, like Romans in the Ring.
